VIDEO: 2012 Mercedes C-Class Coupe Spied at California Processing Center

The all-new 2012 Mercedes C-Class Coupe, that may or may not debut in Detroit next week as a Geneva Salon show up in March is also a strong possibility, was spied at the Long Beach Vehicle Processing Center in California by a crafty Youtube user. The lightly camouflaged C-Class with the two-door body was parked alongside other Mercedes-Benz models including a pair of wrapped up prototypes that appear to be the next generation M-Class and SLK roadster.

2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK Patent Drawings

While looking for the designs of the Smart Roadster model we showed you in our previous post, we stumbled upon these drawings of the next-generation Mercedes-Benz SLK used for trademark filings. Being that an official video of the 2012 SLK has already been leaked online (you can watch it after the jump if you missed out), these pictures simply offer some additional -and unobstructed- views of the roadster model with the retractable hardtop.

SPIED: Mercedes-Benz' SLS AMG Roadster Loses the Top and Gullwing Doors

Mercedes-Benz is nearing the end of the development process of its forthcoming open-top SLS AMG Roadster, which will join the coupe model when it enters the market late next year. Apart from dropping the metal top in favor of an electrically operated fabric roof, as you can see from the location of the door handles in these latest spy pictures, the SLS AMG's famous Gullwing-style doors have made way for more conventional items.

VIDEO: F1 Star Nico Rosberg gets a Taste of the 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster

There’s nothing wrong with using your assets, so we don’t blame Mercedes-Benz for trying to build some hype around the upcoming
2012 SLK by inviting Formula 1 pilot Nico Rosberg to take the hardtop roadster for a spin. However, the entire happening feels much too scripted, from the way the camera ducks just when the front fascia is almost revealed to what Rosberg says. Luckily, we already know what the German roadster looks like, so we won’t shed unnecessary tears. The highlight of the video is clearly the demonstration of how the Magic Sky Control panoramic roof works. Hit the jump to watch the clip. Read more »

AutoLeaks: 2012 Mercedes SLK Revealed Ahead of Time through Video, Over 60 Photos

WikiLeaks and Julian Assange aren't the only ones spilling documents and data all over the net. Today, an official promotional video of the all-new third-generation 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK roadster showed up on Youtube. Not surprisingly, the French language film was pulled off Youtube pretty quickly, but not before we managed to get these screenshots and all the valuable information it contained.

Looking at the video, we can tell that, even though the new SLK's silhouette remains familiar, there are plenty of new details and a crisper styling for the body which brings to mind the larger SL model. Notable changes include the new CLS-inspired front grille and the air vents on the front fenders.

Are these Official Drawings of the 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Facelift?

Definitely take this with a grain of salt, but Autobild has published some allegedly official drawings of the facelifted 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class saloon. There's a possibility they may be sourced from some kind of promotional material, but they could also be faked - we're, just not sure.

Mercedes releases new photos of 2012 SLK Roadster, gets panoramic glass roof

Mercedes-Benz has published a bevy of pictures of its next-generation SLK hardtop roadster during endurance testing in the heat of Death Valley to show off the upcoming model's panoramic glass-roof with Magic Sky Control [MSC].

Driving with the top down is not always an option. There might be clear blue skies, but temperatures could be also very low. Other times the car's interior gets way too hot if it has a panoramic glass roof. Either way, your drive is ruined.

And this is where the Magic Sky Control system comes into the picture. A roughly 2,000 euro (US $2,772) option for the next generation SLK, the MSC is, in essence, a panoramic roof that can be made either transparent or darkened, just by pushing a button.

2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Estate Spied, Shows Redesigned Interior

Our intrepid spy photographers not only caught the Estate version of the facelifted 2011 C-Class, but this time they also managed to snag some pictures of the car's redesigned dashboard, which will be the same for all body styles including the sedan and the new addition to the range, the coupe.

Taking styling cues from the larger E- and S-Class models, the prototype C-Class facelift pictured here gets a newly designed instrument panel that extends to include the display screen over the new center console, which has new controls and air-vents.

On the outside, the light camouflage hide a series of subtle design tweaks that include gently massaged front and rear bumpers, small changes to the design of the headlamps and tail lights plus a more contoured bonnet and front grille.

SPIED: 2012 Mercedes-Benz ML63 AMG Loses the Heavy Cladding

Last time we showed you spy photos of Mercedes-Benz's forthcoming 2012 M-Class and ML63 AMG SUVs [confusingly, Merc uses the 'M-Class' title for the series and the 'ML' prefix for the model designation], both models were covered in heavy plastic cladding.

In these latest scoop pics of the flagship ML63 AMG, the plastic armor is gone and replaced by black tape, providing us with a more revealing look at the car's styling. The new M-Class features a 'boxier' shape and is evidently more heavily sculpted than the current model. It also gets the more angular grille up front, found on all the latest Mercedes cars.

2012 Mercedes-Benz B-Class Brochure Shot Leaked? We'd Say Nein and here's why...

With the Paris Motor Show just around the corner, you'd think that the interwebs would have something better to do than embrace wild rumors such as the Toyota FT-86 sport sedan - seriously, now.... But that's not the only story making the rounds on the web today. Several sites have posted the above photo claiming its some sort of leaked brochure shot of the facelifted / new / redesigned etc, etc, version of the Mercedes-Benz B-Class. We have three reasons to believe it's a photoshop hoax. Click through to check them out one by one...

2012 Mercedes-Benz SL63 AMG Spied on and about the 'Ring

The next-gen Mercedes SL63 AMG has officially been caught testing, aaaaaaaannnd...there it is. Much like the SLS and recently-revealed CLS, the front end of Merc's new hardtop roadster will sport a more in-your-grille fascia (punny, I know). It's so blunt and brutish, I'd say the German firm's stylists could have been helping Dodge with the 2011 Charger.

New Mercedes-Benz CLS Fully Revealed Thanks to Leaked Brochure

While there has been no shortage of spy shots and videos showing the upcoming next-gen Mercedes-Benz CLS sports sedan, to date, we didn't have any official material sourced from the Stuttgart automaker. That changed today with the leak of the car's official brochure that reveals the production-ready version of the new 2011 CLS inside and out, way ahead of its scheduled world premiere at the Paris Auto Show next month.

SPY VIDEO: New Mercedes-Benz SLK Scooped Testing Alongside CLS

Mercedes-Benz just can't keep spy photographers away from its next SLK roadster. More Reader Shots from Dubai: New Mercedes-Benz SLK and 2011 Ford Explorer

Our Dubai crowd appears to be on a roll lately. For the second time this week, a Carscoop reader from UAE's most populated emirate managed to snag a prototype version of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz SLK roadster on the road. Maciek also spotted the freshly revealed 2011 Ford Explorer in some funky black and white camouflage. Ford's people noted on the company's dedicated Explorer page on Facebook that the SUV was out hot weather testing in the desert. More pictures after the jump.

Carscoop Reader Snaps New Mercedes-Benz SLK Roadster in Dubai

About a week ago, we brought you a set of spy pictures of the redesigned 2011 Mercedes-Benz SLK snagged testing in Germany. Now, one of our international readers has spied a camouflaged prototype of the hardtop roadster driving on the public roads of Dubai.

While Mercedes is sticking with the two-piece retractable hard top, the two-seater 2011 SLK is expected to bring a sportier design theme with a more angular direction inspired by the well-received SLS AMG Gullwing supercar.

SPIED: 2012 Mercedes-Benz SLK Prototypes Drops the Cladding

The all-new, third generation of Mercedes-Benz's SLK Roadster is still about a year away from launch, but the disguise is already starting to fall off the prototype. As you can see in these spy photos, this example of the 2012 SLK does without the heavy cladding of the test cars seen in our previous stories.

The new images show that the 2012 SLK ditches the current model's F1-inspired nose in favor of a much bolder grille and more geometrically shaped headlamps, all themed after the SLS AMG Gullwing model. However, Stuttgart's Z4-fighter will continue to be a strictly two-seater roadster with a two-piece folding hardtop.

SCOOP: 2011 Mercedes-Benz C-Class Sedan Facelift and New C-Class Coupe Snagged Together

Not surprisingly, Mercedes-Benz engineers are testing the redesigned for 2011 C-Class sedan together with its new two-door brethren that will carry the C-Class Coupe name populating another niche for the German carmaker when it arrives in the marker next year.

The development of the new C-Class Coupe has led to some modest styling updates for the sedan (obviously for the Estate model also), which include the re-designed front bumper and headlights along with a recontoured grille. It also appears that the sedan's gets a reprofiled rear bumper and a fresh design for the tail lights.

As for the C-Class Coupe model that will most likely try to take on both the BMW 1- and 3-Series coupes, aside from losing two doors, it gets a sleek, swooping C-pillar and frameless side windows while the centre pillar has been discarded.

SPIED: 2012 Mercedes-Benz GL-Class SUV

Despite the rising importance of green issues in the auto industry, carmakers continue the development of full-size SUVs / 4x4s such as the Mercedes-Benz GL-Class. Our scoop photographers snagged some of the very first pictures of the next generation Mercedes SUV while undergoing testing in Germany.

Although details are scarce, we do know that the new GL will make use of a stretched version of the next ML's platform, which is also shared with the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee and the upcoming Dodge Durango. The same goes for the powertrains options that will mirror those of the new ML and include V6 and V8 engine options.

2011 Mercedes-Benz CLS Sports Saloon Snagged Completely Undisguised!

We were supposed to see the next iteration of the Mercedes-Benz CLS for the first time at this fall's Paris Motor Show, however, thanks to an eagle-eyed reader of the Brazilian website Noticiasautomotivas, we now have pictures of the sporty four-door saloon without a hint of camouflage. Believe it or not, the reader caught the 2011 CLS lurking around the German firm's Stuttgart Museum. We assume the car was there for a photo shoot.

The new CLS blends the "banana shaped" body of the outgoing model with styling elements Mercedes-Benz's latest cars such as the E-Class Coupe's heavily shouldered rear wheel arches and the more dramatic front-end design, all previewed on the CLS Shooting Brake Concept.

There are no photos of the interior, but don't expect to see something entirely different the concept study.

SPIED: New Mercedes-Benz C-Class Coupe Caught Testing

Our spy photographers have snagged a lightly camouflaged prototype of the upcoming Mercedes-Benz C-Class coupe that is set to hit showrooms along with the facelifted versions of C-Class sedan and Estate early next year. It has been suggested that the arrival of the C-Class Coupe will mean the end of the CLC sport hatch.

Unlike the CLC which is based off the previous generation C-Class, the new coupe is built on the existing C-Class. The newcomer appears to feature a much simpler design than the larger and more expensive E-Class Coupe. Aside from losing two doors, the coupe version of the C-Class gains a more rakish roofline and a redesigned rear end. Don't expect any significant changes over the sedan model inside.
